Hello,
I recently purchased a used 2019 Hyundai Elantra. I am noticing that when I coast to a stop or slow down gently with the brakes I can feel the car downshift which causes a small jerk of resistance. It is hardly noticeable but it is there. I have never felt this in any car before and I was wondering if this is normal? I took it to the dealership and they ran the transmission through it's diagnostics and it came back with no codes. Could this be the engine braking assistance? Not sure, just wish it would coast to a stop like other cars.

Find a similar car and drive it. It could be normal.
