Which car brand do you think has worse quality control? Hyundai/Kia/Genesis or Ford/Lincoln?
Hyundai/Kia/Genesis
Hyundai
They are both bad, but overall at least to 100,000 miles I’d take my chances on a Hyundai. Lincoln has been near the bottom in recent reliability survey reports.
If the choice is between those brands, The only Fords I’d get are the F150, the Crown Victoria (and variants), and possibly the Mustang.
I’ve driven various Hyundai’s and company as rentals, and they seemed like decent cars. It seems like most rentals are Hyundai’s these days, unless I specifically request another vehicle. Granted I have no long term experience with them, and there is probably a reason rental companies love use them early but get rid of them while when they age.
I wouldn't touch a Korean car with a 20ft pole. Same with Ford, except a few models that might be ok-ish.
All have gone off the cliff as far as quality. Hyundai/Kia can’t build motors right, they use very cheap parts/electronics, and there’s a class action right now for their motors made in the US plant. Ford/Lincoln they use those turbo/GDI cheap motors in most of their vehicles now. Lincoln I will say seems to have quality interior but other then that I would stay away from both companies.
