Hi Scotty, congrats on your move, we have been to Tenn a few times and love it! Hope you will too.
Need your opinion if you would please, thinking of getting a 2010 Caravan, with a 3.8 engine, what do you know of these? I need a van or suv with higher seating as I have disabilities, easy to get into a vehicle. Thanks
They are poorly made cars the electrical components transmission you name it they fall apart. I can not recommend buying this van. My advice, pay the premium and get the previous generation of the Toyota Sienna.
Those are the worst vans ever made. Literally any other van would be a better van.
I would not buy a Dodge Grand Caravan - they are poorly made, don’t hold up over time, and have transmission issues. If you want a minivan, go for a Toyota Sienna. They are extremely dependable and will last you a good long time. They are also very comfortable and very smooth, even as they get old. I have a 2006 Sienna with 115K miles and it still runs like it’s brand new. Yes, the Siennas are more expensive to buy but I promise you it will be well worth the premium.
I would pass on that. Yeah you may get some people that have those vans get into the mid-to-high 150,000+ mile range, but they are definitely the exception not the norm.
Scotty talks about them here too (this is the previous Gen, but even the newer ones are not much better esp. under FCA):
