Hyundai -Kia motor swap

Topic starter

I have a 2006 Hyundai Tucson GLS that the motor needs to be replaced. Now I would like to know if I could use a Hyundai Mu engine from the Kia Rondo. The O.E.M. motor that was used is a Delta. Could they work together without many things to change? Both engines are the 2.7 v6.

Find a specialist mechanic who works on Korean cars, to correctly answer this question.

More than the engine itself, it’s the various electronic components that’ll need reprogramming to work correctly.

If I were you, I’d actually get rid of the vehicle as-is, and buy another robust product like a CR-V or RAV4.

Having the same engine does not necessarily mean that you can swap them.

You can't just swap those out. The computers and software are different despite the hardware similarities.

I would look into replacing the vehicle.
