Do you think Hyundai/Kia's quality control is better or worse or equal to FCA which is now known as Stellantis?

Are you shopping in N. America, or Europe?

FCA/Stellantis is the one company that can actually make Hyundai/Kia look good, which says a lot.

I’ve personally sat in and driven many vehicles from both companies over the years, and know many people who’ve owned vehicles from both brands but then encountered issues, and it appears in general the Hyundai/Kia has better quality control than FCA.  This is of course relative to each other, and FCA is a low bar already, so take that for what it’s worth.

Chrysler+Fiat+PSA is definetly worse than Hyundai. By how much is the question.

Also I accidentally voted Hyundai but my vote is for FCA

Hi, European here.

stellantis is a merger of PSA and FCA, ill talk about both:

PSA makes some good cars like the Peugeot 3008. A simple DuraTorq engine with a Toyota 8 speed Toyota automatic makes for a very nice reliable ride.

DS, a luxury brand owned by PSA makes also some great cars, the older DS3 is one of the best hot hatches, one of Top gear’s Jeremy Clarkson’s favorite cars - I’ll link the Top gear video as a comment.

There’s a reason why Peugeot and Citroen make the best selling cars in Europe.

oh also the Citroën C3 PureTech is an excellent city car, they usually sell them with very long warranties so it’s a the perfect car for someone that drives a couple thousand kilometers a year (as many do) and wants something comfy, efficient, cheap, safe and jam packed with features.

on the other hand… FCA… they’re terrible! I’ve recently drove a Fiat Tipo and I can’t believe people buy them! It has returned very good gas mileage, but the ride was very noisy and jittery because of that horrendous transmission. And don’t get me started on the 500X and 500L that constantly break, or the mess that is the 500 with it’s dualogic automatic hardly being able to make it move.

Overall, Hyundai makes better cars then Stelantis. (Mostly because of FCA being trashy. PSA was decent but only the last couple of years)

The DS3 is featured here and in many other occurrences on top gear.

The real question is:
who’s worse Aliance (Renault, LADA, Dacia, Nissan. Mitsubishi and Infinti) or Stellantis (Peugeot, Citroën, DS, Opel, Fiat, Dodge,…) 😄

BTW, when we talk about the vehicles on this forum, at least in my case, I am only talking about the North American ones since that’s where I live (United States) and that is my only experience - here.

Look I’ve helped many guys with European cars on this forum and their issues even when Scotty couldn’t.

I don’t think it would be a smart idea to talk about the “new part in Stellantis” or Peugeot or PSA without ever touching or seeing one of their modern products so I’m here to offer people that knowledge.

I’m sure many people would like to know about these mysterious cars we drive around here 👀 I remember people having great interest in Doug DeMuro’s video on the Peugeot 3008 and I’ve been asked a lot about Citroën’s by Americans, especially on the DS and the Rolls Royce suspension inside the Citroën C5 👀
