Hi Scotty.
I am a new owner one Hyundai Santa Fe 2.0 Diesel 2003.
I will ask you about a SPARKS. My car had no one manual. Had the car a SPARKS? If that had one, where can I find it?
Regard
Markus
If you mean spark plugs, the answer is NO. Diesel fuel ignites under high pressure during compression (compression ignition) so spark plugs are not needed. It has GLOWPLUGS. These are heating elements that warm compressed air in cylinders and make ignition more easy in cold weather.
Thanks.
Where can I find location for GLOWPLUGS? (Stupid question). 😀
I suppose you have a CRDi. It's known to me that Santa Fe in 2003 had one type of engine replaced with another.
Perhaps these info will help you (Link1 , Link2).
Be CAREFUL when removing glowplugs (Check this link for more info)!
Stay safe and good luck.
