After more than 30 years I'd expect just about all mechanical parts to be worn. If it's going to a place where there are really bad roads the suspension should probably be rebuilt and wheel bearings replaced. It may have trouble running on very low-octane gas which may be all that's available in some places.
I am referring to engine/transmission/ drivetrain parts.
