I forgot to take off the small plastic cap on the new pcv valve, how do I get the piece of plastic out, now the crv reads 14.5 mpg avg, how to I get the price of plastic out of the hole where the PCV is installed, please?

Help Scotty 😟

Please don't put your full question into the title line, which is intended for a short description. Thank you. (Title fixed.)

Where is "the hole"? If it's in the valve cover just remove the cover and get the plastic piece out. Hopefully you did not run the engine since the plastic cap could have gotten chewed up in the camshafts and caused some havoc.

If you dropped it in the connection to the crankcase, you'll probably have to remove the oil pan and hope that it fell through.  You MAY be able to get it by pulling the oil drain plug and hope that it comes out there.

Just to make things clear, you dropped a foreign object into your engine and just… decided to continue driving?

EDIT:

As in it's completely gone and not located within that hole?

if you stick a screwdriver there (with extreme caution) you won't be able to touch it?

I'm checking because it's a threaded PCV valve as far as I remember, so jamming a cap on top of the threads would require a lot of force...

It's in the hole where the PCV valve is installed, is that the crankcase?

How can I get it out?

Post a link to a photo showing the location of the hole where the plastic piece fell in.
