I have 2001 Honda Accord V6 coupe 220,000 miles, I have a P0171 code first of all I'm thinking if its only my left bank running lean , then wouldn't it be something that is only part of that left bank, like the map sensor, if that was acting up wouldn't I be lean on both banks, I have a farly new map, still cleaned it , new pugsl, cleaned my EGR port, replaced my pcv valve, added a gang of fuel system cleaner BBG, Redline, Seafoam, Lucas, and none of this fixed the code, although it has started performing better and smoother, sometimes the check engine light goes off, and the cat runs like a dream but i did run it out of gas, obviously sucking trash up and it started not running if on an incline, im not sure if this is when the light started to co. e on , but i dont know how to see if i have correct and consitant fuel pressure.
Well if only that one bank is running lean then generally you either have a vacuum leak somewhere only on that bank which causes only that bank to run lean. Or you could have a bad oxygen sensor on that bank. Those are the two most common
