I have a 1999 2WD toyota tacoma. Yesterday while driving down the road the driverside front tire fell off at the bottom. I mean its still connected but the whole rotor and everything is no longer hooked at the bottom. I had to leave it to go get jack and tools. Since i may have to fix on the spot to retrieve it do you have any idea what parts i shoud bring to ensure i can retrieve?

It sounds like your lower ball joint snapped...So probably at least a new one. Theres a lot of videos for how to remove them out there. U may just want a punch or good screwdriver to knock the broken stud out of the steering knuckle.
