- I have a 2001 Ford F-150 XLT Triton 4.6 V8. A lot of work was done to it and for a long time I've been trying to look for this humming/vibration sound but still unable to find the problem what's causing it. I start it up staying in neutral that's when it begins. When I shift gears or turn on the heater that's when it gets a bit louder. While driving it's gone, when stopped at a stop sign or light it comes back. I can feel it under my seat/feet mostly. Warm weather it's not as bad but the cold weather it's worse. I've been told "it's this it's that". "Don't worry about it". "All trucks do that" "Your truck is just tired" Etc... Which in the back of my mind I know something is wrong but not sure what it is. What are your thoughts? Any answers you have will be appreciated. Thanks in advance if answered.
