I have a 2005 Lexus ES 330 and my engine light is on. I checked the code and one code came up saying that my gas cap is the problem I changed the gas cap and the light stays on still what could be the problem can you help me with this

Miles on the vehicle?
There is no code that says the gas cap is the problem. The vast majority of codes refer to a condition that exists, not to a specific part. What is the actual code?
