[Solved] Stuck Accelerator Pedal

Topic starter

2005 corolla accelerator pedal got stuck while depressed down. Was able to turn the car off thankfully. Would not come back up when trying to free it by hand. Don't see any objects wedged against the pedal causing it to be stuck.

Has anyone seen something of this nature before? What could be the solution? Throttle body, the pedal assembly, some kind of cable...

Here's the thing. Some '05 Corollas have a throttle cable and some have electronic throttle. If you have a cable odds are you need a new cable cuz it's all stuck and broken inside.! Frayed. But if it's electronic then you can either try cleaning it or replacing the throttle
