I have a 2005 Toyota Matrix with 169000 Miles it vibrates and shakes really bad when you put it in reverse or drive what could it be I just bought the car for 4000

Bad motor mounts or worn torque converter are two possibilities. Did you have a pre-purchase inspection done?
I took it to two different mechanics. To have it looked at. It has no check engine lights on or any codes. The mechanic said the only thing they seen that was wrong was I need a belt so I had one put on then two days later is when the vibration and shaking started
There are no codes or lights for bad engine mounts or torque converter. Deeper diagnosis is needed.
