I lost my acura tl 2008 key and got a locksmith to replace it but the key programmer fails to communicate.

Well start with another locksmith you obviously doesn't know what he's doing. If he did he'd be able to program and get the thing to work. A lot of these locksmiths say they know how to work on cars but they really don't know squat. You're only other option to be to take it to a mechanical works on those and mechanics charge 150 bucks an hour up
