Looking at an automatic Ford Explorer Limited with the 4.0L V6 and 4WD at a Ford dealer tomorrow. SUV has 153k miles and got them to agree to $7k out the door. It has one owner and in Virginia. I'm going to take it to a mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection. Is this a decent deal and reliable SUV? I saw Scotty's video on the old Explorer and he liked them from my understanding. Just trying to get opinions. Thanks everyone.
Yeah just looking at the mileage and KBB value has it at $3-4k market range for sale by a dealer. Sort of afraid about the transmission on these too but it comes with a three month warranty. Think I will walk away from this because the price is kinda absurd when I think about it.
Other than the price and as long it checks out in the Pre Purchase inspection, it could be a decent choice.
Run away those transmissions are crap
