If you didn't start the car, drain the transmission fluid from the car and replace it with new transmission fluid. Motor oil is much thicker than transmission fluid.
I don't know if it will really mess anything up or not
Who knows. But it's cheaper to drain it out than replace a transmission.
how did they mix?
It appears he or she mistook between the engine oil dipstick and the transmission fluid dipstick. I've never seen that one before.
@justin-shepherd
you erased that information from the question when you edited it. Please be careful to preserve relevant information when moderating. Thanks. I restored the original context. However, there was no mention of mixing up dipsticks
I was assuming they mixed them up. Idk how else they did it. I did what I could, given the information, lol.
@justin-shepherd
Maybe they mistook a bottle of engine oil for ATF? Doesn't matter it's not for you to decide.
As I said you need to leave details intact please.
What I meant was I was trying to discern from the given information. They were intending to change oil and they accidentally pulled the wrong dipstick. They didn't catch it until it was too late. Maybe there's a setting on your end that says what the original title was.
