2018 Peugeot 308 has been sitting on the dealer's lot for 4 months. Battery died on it. We tried to jump start it with a portable battery jump starter, but to no avail. In the engine compartment, there is a red cap. When you try to turn it, electricity ceases to function in the car. Keys were left inside the car. No spare.
Help. We need to get this car to work.
Does it have gas?
It's a diesel engine. Yes, of course there is fuel.
have you tried changing out the battery?
We cannot do that. It's a stupid design. When you try to change the battery, there is a red cap-like switch. If you press it, electricity doesn't work. I guess we're going to have it towed to the dealer and have them figure this out.
