Hi,
I have a 2011 CRV with the 4 cylinder. FWD. Has only 63k miles original owner. Everything is fine on it, but for years, almost every time, when I get out I'm shocked when I touch the door to close it. What would be causing this? Only maintenance that it's ever had/needed are regular oil changes and a new battery when the original went bad. Issue happened with the original battery too.
It's been in Florida too so no rust on it anywhere.

Static electricity. Stop wearing wool pants.
I usually wear jeans or even gym shorts. doesn't matter. never happens to me in my other cars. Thought there might be something with the electrical system or some ground.
