I replaced the alternator on a 2010 Hyundai Sonata and now the car doesn't run right. Car doesn't want to shift gears, all dashboard lights flicker on & off. Have to jump it to start it. What have i done wrong?

check for loose connections

The Best case is a loose connection, you forgot to hook something up or left on a protective cap or cover. Worst case if you disconnected battery you disconnected positive first or put positive on last and possibly burned something out. Anything newer or something like Mercedes ect the electrical system must be disconnected a certain way or damage will occur.
