If my xterra with a 3.3 has 236k and the transmission oil doesn’t look too bad but it does look like it’s time for a transmission service but with it’s miles should I just leave it alone or run a additive shifts are a little rough from time to time.
It depends on the last service. Do you know when was the last time it was serviced?
No no clue oil doesn’t look burnt or new it looks like it needs to be changed that’s the color it looks like a goldish brown not dark brown no metal either which is good
Yikes. Tough one. I would change it and the filter if accessible. Save the old fluid incase a problem comes up.
It depends if you change your transmission fluid or not. If you do change the transmission fluid usually every 60,000 miles, go ahead and change it. If not, I leave it alone.
