What would happen if you don’t replace the bulb for the turn signal? (That’s when the turn signal is blinking faster than normal)

It's blinking fast because the filament burned out. If you don't change the bulb, people won't be able to see you signalling and it's not safe to drive that way.

Check the bulbs and make sure they are correct size.

Have there been any occurrences in which a turn signal blinks slower than usual?

Nothing much perhaps the other bulbs going out a little faster. . The working bulbs would just keep blinking quicker.
