My 98 tacoma needs #2,3 ignition coil pack. Is it ok to buy aftermarket one?

It is ok, but you won't get the same life you get from an OEM one. Also, change all the ignition coils.

Get denso, I believe that’s the OEM Toyota uses anyway.

I’ve also used NGKs and they work great as well.

I was thinking money wise. The one I was thinking about buying is made by AIP electronics

@wazzup is it because the AIP is cheap? Never heard of them. I would recommend never compromising on anything to do with the ignition. Stay OEM or great aftermarket only. And as @yaser said, change them all.

Great advice!

If your going to use aftermarket, get coils with a limited lifetime warranty.

It's not something that needs to be replaced often. Don't cheap out.
