2007 HyundaiVeracruz will not allow ignition to turn when smart key is inserted into ignition. Steering wheel is locked and not able to operate gear shifter.

Ever considered changing out the 15 year old battery in your smart key? Number CR2032.

Try jiggling the wheel to the left and/or right. Step on the brake while starting the car.
