I have a 05 Chevy Tahoe. Do yal think it’s a good idea 2 replace my brake calipers myself??? Im not a mechanic but I done watch some videos on YouTube on how 2 change them. I need 2 learn how 2 do it anyways. So should I do it or take it 2 a mechanic???
Yes you can do it, but follow a guide so you don't make any bad mistakes. A good repair manual is a good investment if plan to work on your vehicle. Especially if you're a novice.

Obviously you need to take care doing this since it is a major safety issue. See the Just Rolled In youtube channel for horror stories of what can happen with people working on their own brakes when they don't know what they're doing. (Putting brake pads on backwards, leaving out caliper mounting bolts, installing calipers upside down, and worse.) It's not rocket science but check and double-check each step carefully. Since that's an 18-year-old vehicle you should probably replace the brake hoses while you're at it.
A problem you're going to run into is bleeding the brakes due to the ABS system which typically requires a bidirectional scan tool. Depending on the system you may be OK as long as you don't get air into the ABS unit itself. (On my car I can bleed brakes out at the calipers without worrying about the ABS.) However if you find yourself unable to bleed air out of the system you'd need an appropriate scan tool.

If you are mechanically inclined and do things well and correctly, you can give it a try. If you lack such habits, take it to a mechanic.
