Scotty,
I own a 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan (don't laugh) with 28,000 miles. Up until just recently, I've had zero problems. Except on a few occasions, when I try to start it, nothing happens. All the dash lights come on, but there is no sound from the engine. After 2 or three more tries, it starts. This vehicle does not have a push-button start -- the whole key fob is inserted and turned. Something that might be a factor is that I have been teleworking, and the car might sit for 3 or 4 days in a row. Also, since I live in Florida, it doesn't get cold enough for this to be weather-related. I am worried that I might get stuck somewhere. Should I consider buying a portable jump starter?
That sounds like it could be the starter motor going bad. I would recommend testing to help determine the problem first. A portable jump starter is a good idea but it won't help unless your battery is the problem. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0769JZK38?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details
Yes.
