- 2017 & 2018 Chevrolet Colorado
- 2018 Honda Ridgeline
- 2019-2021 Ford Explorer
- 2021 & 2022 Nissan Frontier
What should I know about any of these? I would consider a Toyota Tacoma but they're outside of my budget. I test drove all of them but I am torn.

If you want a "real truck" for heavy-duty use the Ridgeline is out. Scotty has said the Frontiers are decent trucks. Be sure to have a good mechanic check out any used vehicle before purchase.

Get a Frontier. The VQ38DD is a very reliable engine and is paired with a Mercedes-Benz 9G-Tronic transmission. Can't go wrong there.
