Holden Captiva 5 series 2 2011 has a Parasitic drain of 12 plus volts. have tested the alternator, no change, tested the solenoid on the started motor, no change. have pulled every fuse , relays on every fuse boxes. no drop in volts .
car drives then dies , but can jump it , then after a while dies again. battery is ok over night if earth is off. thanks for any help
Please use the title line for a short description of your car problem, not the full details. (Title edited.)
If you have eliminated the fused circuits as the source of the drain, that leaves non-fused components such as the alternator that need to be checked.

thanks , all the wires from both the alternator and the solenoid on the starter motor was removed at the time of checking. no power or ground was going to them
Then you must have a short in the wiring someplace. What is the actual current draw with everything disconnected except for the power feed from the battery?
I’d recommend checking out this video. https://youtu.be/6xFo_oHFF48?si=QMLpL6GccoZ6xiGU
dont replace things until you know exactly what it is. You could unplug items and see what happens .
first 2 test was done, car was drained of all power before it was tested again. the moment the multimeter was put on the earth cable and the battery it went to 12 plus volts. the 3rd test I can't do because I haven't got the device. but thanks for your help
