Fun to drive but they cost A LOT in maintenance and any repairs. I had a 2008 335xi coupe and I can tell you first hand, if you don't have a few thousand on hand for an "any moment" repair, don't consider it.

You didn’t tell us if this will be a daily driver or not, or what your overall plans for the vehicle will be. If it’s going to be a daily driver that you put a ton of miles on each year, then forget it: it’s already 13-14 years old and it will become a money pit over time if it’s not already there (depending on the mileage).
