I'm looking for a reliable transmission shop in my area zip code 28630 western NC
I need work on my 1990 Corolla 5 speed 218k miles , I have owned the car 30 years. If the shop is reputable with references I don't mind having my car hauled. Thanks in advance

I would buy a used transmission from a junkyard rather than rebuilding it. It will be cheaper with much less headache.
unless you install one that craps the bed 1 month down the road.
