I’m thinking about buying a 2001 Mercury Cougar with 140,000 miles. It has a clean title and when I checked it out it seems to be in good working order. What are your thoughts?

Seems as though it is on a Mazda platform. What is the price? I don't think it would be that reliable but if it is like 1500 bucks at most and a mechanic says it is in good mechanical condition then you might consider buying it, but I don't think it will be reliable because of the rx-6 platform.

Did you test drive it? I had one and the steering was awful and the seats hurt my back.
