My 2012 Chevy Impala makes a horrible noise when I accelerate, similar to a jake brake on an 18 wheeler only not nearly as loud. When I decelerate the noise decreases and when I take my foot off the accelerator all together the noise stops completely. Please help I have no idea what is wrong. Thank you in advance.

Probably rusted out exhaust. That's what I would expect from an 11yo Impala.
