Hello Scotty. I have a 1997 Honda Accord EX-R (built in El Salto, Jalisco, Mexico) with 140,000 miles, automatic gearbox with the engine swapped of a 2.3L 4cyl 1998-2002 Accord. My question is, how much can I improve my 16 to 16.5 mpg in fuel consumption, for cruising at 1367 miles over sea level? I had tried changin sparkles, different valve adjustment and tunning the injectors. I also use high mileage oil for it, should I keep using it? And well, which could be the best valve opening adjust to garantee better fuel use and efficiency?
Well the main problem is you have an engine that is different than the original one it may not be possible to get it to run correctly because this different sensors on different engines and it may not be set up right for that transmission might not be shifting right could be a ton of things see if you can find a Honda expert mechanic with the dealer scanner and talk them into analyzing it at least in person
