Scotty! Every time I've googled a car question, your videos have come up! Thank you very much for everything you do!!
I have a 2008 F150 with a 4.2L engine and a manual transmission. It has 250k miles. Two days ago the check engine light came on and the code is P2004 (IMRC (Intake Manifold Runner Control) stuck open. Any idea where I should start? I didn't see too much useful information online and am scared to take it to the shop. Thank you!
Clarification: Have you noticed any symptoms to accompany the code?
Nothing other than a little loss of power while accelerating
That means that inside your manifold the device that adjusts the length of the runners in the manifold is stuck wide open sometimes you can take the motor part on the outside off and lubricate the rod then I'll go back sometimes you got to take it all apart and replace the manifold if it runs okay you can totally ignore

(This is on the V8 - and your engine is the V6 - but gives you an idea of what Scotty was talking about.)
