Hi Scotty, I own a 2011 Nissan Maxima with over 220k miles. I notice that I have rubbing wear in the inside of both front tires, even after a front end alignment. My current setup is 245/45/18, if i went to a 235/45/18 would that help with the wear problems?
Did you replace the front tires along with the alignment? (Once tires start wearing funny due to poor alignment they will continue to do so.) If new tires are wearing that way the alignment is still off.
yes, i had my summer wheels on, removed and sold them. Now I'm using an all season setup. they were new tires, and new inner and outer tie rods. Its toe wear on the tires.
In that case the alignment must still be off.
Stock size is 245/45/18
If your brand new stock tyres are wearing unevenly, find another ‘reputed’ alignment shop, and/or check for loose front end parts.
Will do, i was using NTB, I'll find a new shop.
Did they give you the printed alignment report? If they did, please feel free to post it here (after covering your personal details).
I'll get a copy tomorrow
Inner tire wear is an indication of either too much toe out or excessive negative camber.
