2006 hyundai sonata 2.4 160,000 miles. After replacing 02 sensor Ive driven 1700 miles and cant get the last 2 codes ready. Ive been told to add 91% alcohol to gas tank to get cat hot enough and/or do a reset by diconnecting battery. What say you my friend?

Clarification: Which codes? Or are you talking about the drive cycle monitors on your OBD scanner?

I used to do that (dump alcohol into the gas tank) with an old AMC Eagle to get it through emissions inspection and it seemed to work. I don't know what that treatment would do though to a modern car.

If you disconnect the battery all of the I/M monitors will likely go to a not-ready state.
