Hello scotty, I have a 2008 Honda accord v6 with 133k miles on it with a Auto trans, my "D" light on my dash and I've looked up what it means but my fluid isn't low and I have no check engine light on. I was told from the last owner that the trans was rebuilt. I also saw that it could be the shift solenoid or the pressure switch. I don't know what to do.
Lets be clear, this isn't the D that says you are in the Drive right?
It is the D that says im in drive
So there isn't a problem then? If you are in drive gear it will show up as "D"
Of course, it might also be another issue and in that case you would want your mechanic to diagnose it.
Have a pro mechanic with transmission expertise check the car. Unfortunately, you can not figure out yourself.

The light you are seeing is to indicate what driving mode you are in For example when the D light is on it indicates you are in drive, when the P light is on it is to indicate you are in park, when the R light is in it is to indicate you are in reverse, and when the N light is on it is to indicate that you are in neutral. These lights are supposed to come on and there is nothing to worry about when they are on.
