Is a Kia Rio a good car to start off with and also what are some problems this car faces?
Which year(s)?
Hyundais/Kias can be OK up to 100,000 miles generally but beyond that won’t hold up as well as a Toyota or Honda. If you plan to keep the vehicle for as long as possible and your budget allows, I’d just look at a (used) Toyota or Honda instead.
Unless you baby it and keep up on maintenance. Not really, there’s plenty of other options that won’t break the bank that are way better built and will run strong longer with simple maintenance.
I would not recommend a Kia Rio. They are not the best made vehicles.
I would highly recommend a Kia Rio as first car. If you want to stay healthy and get plenty of exercise by pushing a Kia Rio and walking to catch public transportation. The Kia Rio is the car for you .
Seriously, I would look for another car. Maybe, a family member will sell their car (Corolla or Civic) for good price.
Look for a different vehicle. In that class, a Honda Fit would be my top choice.
