Is adding an oil trap a good idea

I have a 2001 Sienna.  It seems to have an issue with burning oil and emissions problems.  I read, that the design of the engine had small weep holes that would clog up and cause the rings to stick.  This would result in oil burning and deposits being pulled the Evap system and the pvc valve to damage and more deposits of carbon in the exhaust system, catalytic converter, etc and eventual emissions issues due to blue smoke.  Not the the color of the smoke matters.

So, if early 200* Siennas are know for this, does it make sense to add an oil trap in the return line of the Evap system in an open space of the engine compartment well before reaching the pvc valve.

The oil trap does not go into the evap system.  It is connected in the PCV hose system between the valve cover and the intake manifold.

Well, I realize if your engine is worn out an oil trap isn't a bad idea because otherwise you'll suck a bunch of oil into the intake. And burn that and carbon up the inside of the engine. Of course it's only a stop kit but the engine's that one. It's going to need rebuilding at some point in time
