How do I fix rough running Dodge RAM

I have a 2005 dodge ram 2500 4x4 auto 5.9 HO Cummins, 218,000. In park engine runs slightly rough and if i rev the engine the rpms seem to bounce on the way down to idle. In drive the rpms hang as if in cruise and i have to throw it in neutral for the rpms to come down in order to slow down and stop normally. When the engine rpms hang in drive it will do it at just about any speed and if i mash on the gas pedal it will not continue to accelerate but goes into stumbling bucking and runs extremely rough until i let off the gas pedal and then it smooths out but continues to runaway until i put it in neutral to slow it down. I have change the fuel rail pressure relief valve, the fuel pressure regulator at the injection pump and the in take lift pump since they were all original with no change. Pulled off the valve cover and no smoke i can detect and have not noticed fuel in oil smell or an increase in oil level. I have also had my ipm module sent out for repair and nothing has changed. Ince the truck is not throwing any codes im leaning towards injectors. Please help. Thanks

Is it possible my injectors are bad, imjector pump or ecm?

Those are very good engines but it is a modern Diesel of course everything on it is computerized so you need a guy like me with a dealer level Chrysler scan tool to analyze live data mode six data take it on a road test and analyze the live data it could be any of those things and more

The thing that boggles my mind is that the throttle doesn't hang in park or neutral, just in drive and for way more than a few seconds. It only comes down when i put the trans in neutral while driving and then i can slow down.
