Hey Scotty,
I need your profesional advise on a trade offer. I own a 2014 Honda Civic coupe 1.5L CVT auto with 75k miles. I visited a dealer with a friend that was purchasing a car. The dealer offered me a 2002 Honda S2000 with 120k miles manual.
there is an obvious rise in price for a s2k. Should I get the s2k for the appreciation value? Or should I stick with my current daily driver.
The S2000’s prices are on the rise as they are quickly turning into collector’s items.
Maintenance on the S2000 will be higher than the Civic.
Do you really think it’s a good idea to replace a 7yr old car with a 19yr old car as your daily driver? If I were you, I’d stick to the Civic as my daily, and pick up the S2000 as a fun, reliable weekend toy.
Before you buy any used car, get it checked out by a reputed mechanic. Especially for enthusiast vehicles, the previous owners tend to drive the heck outta them. Get it checked thoroughly, if you decide to buy it.
