2005 Mazda 6 2.3 with almost 170k miles with automatic transmission
Codes are the following: P2187 ultimately diagnoses too lean in idle bank 1.
Scanner(bludriver) suggestions: egr valve, MAFS(mass allow sensor) clean or replacement.
This has been a code issue for about a couple of weeks with some lack of engine power not noticeable. As of just yesterday the car struggles to accelerate over 40. Is that solely signs of the cat failing/clogged or could the egr, masf or throttle have that much affect on performance? Possibitlies extends to vacuum leak or fuel injector fail.
rather than guess if you don't know how to do it pay a mechanic like me to analyze the live and mowed six day out of to see what sensors aren't performing right or if it has a vacuum like or if it has low fuel pressure they can all do that
Thanks killmer
