Hey Scotty! I have 2004 Jeep Wrangler TJ with a AMC 4.0L inline 6 at 123,000 miles. What are the common issues that happen with my vehicle? I already replaced the A/C accumulator, coil pack, spark plugs, and I changed the oil with Mobil 1 at 119,000 miles. Also, keep up the good work!
well they have excellent engines but the automatic transmissions are somewhat weak baby that cuz they will often go out and pray the computer and wiring don't go bad which is another common problem
Some other issues encountered for that model year:
The 4.0 has two core plugs that can only be accessed by pulling the transmission, pulling the engine, or cutting a hole in the firewall. One is on the back of the head, the other on the back of the block. Another common trouble area as they age is the oil filter adapter gasket.
