Hi all,

Car details: Peugeot 206, 2004, 65k miles, 1.1l petrol, manual

A few days back i noticed a noise coming from under the bonnet when i turned my wheels. Now, i haven't heard this noise before, but then again i cant say i have specifically listened for any noises when turning the wheel. The noise seems to be coming from the PS pump whenever i turn my steering wheel left or right. Even the slightest bit of pressure makes the noise happen and at full lock it gets slightly louder.

Here is the video I made of the noise

The fluid is clean and has no contamination

i've bled the system from air by turning full lock several times

i saw no bubbles in the reservoir

steering feels normal

fluid is correct fluid

fluid is NOT low.

there are no leaks, i have never needed to top up the reservoir

Everything seems to be fine, its just that noise does not sound healthy to me. What do you guys think?

just meet the pump is worn they can often make groaning noises quite some time as long as they work fine when they stop working and start getting glitchy and have power no power it's time for a new pump
