Hello Scotty, My Name is Luke. My 2013 Nissan Versa CVT Transmission is Slipping, So I got a Gallon of Valvoline CVT Fluid and a Transmission Filter Set I ordered online. Here Are All My OBDII codes: P1148, P0031, P0746, P0744, P0846. I heard sometimes changing the fluid and filters can fix it. It is drivable only on Flat surfaces, and only gets up about 20 or 30 miles per hour. When I tried making back up the hill It did not have the power, so I discovered Press on the Break and Shut it off and Put the stick in park, then Start it again and put it in drive then Some power was restored and then I would drive it a little ways with the Peddle to the floor and it was barely driving like 5 or 10 miles per hour up hill. Then I would Come to a Complete Stop, then I would have to put it in park, and then Shut it off, then Restart it again, then Some power was restored again. And I done this all the way up the hill the last time I came back from the city. But I have Tested it back and forth a few times to the end of the Street and back, But I am to Afraid to Take it down the Hill and then try to Drive back up the Hill again. Scotty, Am I screwed? Also there is 207,000 Miles on My 2013 Nissan Versa.

Also there is 207,000 Miles on My 2013 Nissan Versa.

The first two codes refer to O2 sensor circuit issues which have nothing to do with the transmission. The remaining codes do refer to issues with the CVT.

The surprise is not that your transmission is failing but that you actually managed to get over 200K miles out of it. Usually Nissan CVTs crater much sooner than that. Of course if you're lucky it might be circuitry connection problems or solenoid issues that may be repairable but you would need a transmission expert to determine that.

Note that transmission problems are far and away the most common problem with that model, with "transmission stopped working" the most prevalent issue:

Chances are though that it is time to start shopping for another car. Don't buy another Nissan unless it's a rear-drive truck or has a manual transmission.

CVT's weren't meant to last very long, unfortunately. Especially Nissan ones. They need to be babied with fluid changes every 30k
