Price is below market, beware.....
you think it has problems? It says no accident. What do you suggest I check to buy it safely?
Inspected, from top to bottom.....
The guy said it was from auction and he is selling it on the side as a dealer
It seems pretty good I would ask for the vin number for starters.
Also , you wanted the V6 so ask if its a V6 or 4 cylinder there is an option for both on that trim

says v6 on front grille
Also its fully loaded and the price is below market like Oneimich said but still what its worth. You need to make sure it insn't a scam. The fact that did didn't provide the VIN is also a bit weird as most do, though I'd ask for it and run some checks.
The VIN would help confirm its a real V6 Limited 4X4 rather a scammer who got the badges off amazon for 3 bucks.
I gave them my number and requested the vin number. I am pretty sure he is legit.
Hey what about considering the Sport trim I heard from reviews that the steering gives more feel and its right below the Limited.
@kerem I heard the suspension was really rough on those an you can feel every little bump on the road in the sport trim; the limited is the perfect combo of Power and luxury.
Also @end
If you care at all, instead of spending half an hour compiling safety ratings manually like I did,
you could visit this site:
https://www.carcomplaints.com/Toyota/RAV4/2011/safety/
They have compiled it nicely
are you actually ready to buy a car, or are you planning your first car years ahead of time like some other members?
im actually ready to buy a car; I already drive and have been looking for my own car since I drive my dad's all the time. I have wanted one of these toyota rav4's since I was 10 years old
it's not bad
it was a guy that bought it from auction that says he was a dealer flipping cars on the side.
take the stories with a grain of salt.
what does that mean
don't take it too seriously. https://www.theidioms.com/take-with-a-grain-of-salt/
If its an auction car don't even think about buying it.
If it is coming from auction, have it inspected very well by a mechanic. If it checks out, it could be a good deal.
I'm not even wasting my time, man. I know auctions are awful.
@endrit You should also look for Honda Crosstour V6.
Oh. I hate honda's. I wanna try a new brand because my family has 2 honda's already.
No problem. Get a Toyota for new experience lol. My parents have a Nissan Altima and they weren't satisified even though the Jatco transmission didn't break.
The Crosstour V6 is a transmission nightmare Heavy + Honda + SUV (thingy) + automatic transmission = death
I'd honesty stick to the RAV4 its your dream car there are many good ones under 8 grand go for those!
Ah ok
one queston. why do land cruisers go for like 4X the price of sequoias when they do the same exact job?
landcruisers are a totally different animal, but you shouldn't be look at either.
They go 4x the same price because they're offroad machines and they don't sell a lot compared to the Sequoias.
Don't know but the Sequoia is based on a truck (Tundra) while the Land Cruiser is a "Jeep" and Americans like it lol. Honestly neither are a good first car.
I think the price seems suspicious because the price is never gonna be that low from resale value. Check with the mechanic and check the title even it says clean on Craiglist. If it's okay, go ahead and buy it. I hope you are satisfied with the car if you buy it.
i called the guy and he said he was a delaer that flips cars at his house and that the car is from auction...... sad.
Kinda sucks. It would've been a good deal if it was a good condition. One day you will find a good owner and get the Rav4 you desire.
yeah man; i've been wanting one for years; its my real dream car.
Your question is answered in today's video. 7:55 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Yj83bN6mew
Scotty is right about the colision warning and lane assist things those really shouldn't be trusted but imo side airbags, esc, abs, and front airbags are a MUST.
Plus the car is very old so don't trust them
The V6 part I would agree with Scotty. If you don't agree with him, just have firm control on the steering wheel and don't drive fast just yet. Perfect your driving and then you can drive fast as much as you want.
@legendaryslayer ; by the time I get my permit, I'm already going to already have been driving for a year and I have been driving for 6 months already and am really perfected in it. I also tend to go really fast, so I don't know if I should get the v6 for the smootheness and acceleration benefit.
Test drive it first and then think about it.
Also, I'd look out for deals. If you find a 4 cylinder for a good price, go check it out and test drive it, you might like it. If you find a base model though you wanted a limited for a good price, go check it out. You will have heck of a time finding a Rav4 Limited V6 in your area for your price range in good shape.
You don't even have your permit yet so you can't legally do a test drive so...
Maybe a camry v6 SE would also be good.
@endrit15 Yeah that car is good. The Rav4 V6 is kinda like the compact sedan version of Corolla V6. Of course, the Corollas don't have the V6 lol.
endrit those V6 have great power have you even driven any RAV4/Camry 4 cylinder/ 6 cylinders?
The RAV4 I4s have some good power for a first car it should be plenty when you get your permit I'd test drive a I4 and if you want a V6 as well. Avoid the 2012-2015 Camry though those had transmission problems.
I wonder why I don't see info about engine and power.
its v6. It says on the grill. That's how you distinguish the engine on the 3rd gen Rav4.
I see there is a difference between American and European ads. There is an example from Europe

one of the photos show V6
i think it is a good deal if it checks out
