Hello, I'm currently buying my first car and looking at a 1984 Porsche 944 manual with 85k miles on it being sold by a someone in my area for $9,950. Is that worth the price? It has no problems with it, no check engine, runs good.

Do not even think about getting this as your first car.
- How much money do you want to spend on a 38 year old Porsche?
- Can you even get parts for it? Or afford the parts for this car?

No. Get something easier to maintain for a 1st car.
Get the Porsche later as a weekend hobby if you're a sucker for punishment.
