Hello, I was just curious of Scotty’s and other people’s opinions on the 10 speed transmissions that come in the newer F150s. I’m looking at a 2019 F150 with 14000 miles. My dad has a 2020 f150 with the same transmission. It only has 30,000 miles and has given him no trouble. Just curious of people’s opinions on these transmissions. It should have you running in the other direction. They are the subject of a lawsuit. Just do a brief search on the internet.

The new 2022 ones have improved to a degree but I would still be leary about buying one.
I'd run away from that transmission like the wind blows. GM and Ford collaborated on that transmission. If GM makes wheels for a Corvette that disintegrate at high speeds, would they contribute much to a highly complex 10-speed transmission? Wheels are simple. They've been made for 1000s of years. Ford has also had recalls like there's no tomorrow, not including lawsuits on this transmission.
You should be passing on any Ford F-150 from model year 2018 and newer, period. Search our forum for previous discussions and issues. If I wanted a newer Ford truck, I would look at the F-250 and higher series.
Not a good transmission. There are many noted issues with it.
