Greetings everyone. I live in the middle east specifically United Arab Emirates. And there is a Denali 2004 XL up for sale in immaculate condition.
- First Owner
- Well Maintained
- Done only 88,000 genuine miles
- no issues currently
Would this be a dependable car? Keep in mind it will be my daily driver since I don't have a second car. I drive about 15k miles per year. I drove a Denali before and I really liked it and the way it drives even more so than my Lexus!
I also heard this gen is reliable but it has some electrical gremlins are they tolareable? Keep in mind I only drove Lexus, Mitsubishi, and Mercedes before and mainly lexus for the most part, so not used to GM cars.
Well they're no near as reliable is lexus's Toyota's Acuras Honda's that's for sure. But with that miles on it should still be okay. Just realize the transmissions are the weakest part of those and they almost always go out at 100 something thousand miles
Thanks scotty for your valuable response
I have a friend that stopped driving his Yukon at 430k, and at least two or three other friends that had suburbans/gmc versions with well over 300k miles on them. They are certainly not the worst vehicle you can get.
My friend did have some trouble with the vehicle theft deterrent mode and would have to let it sit for 15 minutes every now and then before it would start.
If you get it for a good price, with that low of mileage, give it some serious TLC and it may last a good while.
These reviews speak for themselves, the only issues I see, and few there are, were some that happened when the car was almost new.

I went and saw it. Unfortunately it is in miles not km. Meaning it is done 139k miles and to be honest I saw another option done even more about 250k miles even at a worse state. And as mentioned their build quality is not close to toyota or lexus so I passed on it. I will search for a clean 2008+ Sequoia that is literally they only option I felt that is better than my GX470
Wait, 88k Km would be like 54k miles, 139k miles would be like 223k Kilometers. You sure you got that right?
If you are trying to get better than a GX470, then no a Denali won't be, but at 88k miles it could still be good. A 2008 sequoia will be as good as the GX, but it will get even worse gas mileage. It does have some less expensive parts than Lexus too, if they break.
The owner mistaken it for 139k km but it is actually 139k miles when I looked at the odometer. I actually test drove a 2008 Sequoia I really liked it and felt it held up much better than GM vehicles and I liked it much more even than my GX470. It is the only car that I liked out of - Tahoe/Yukon 1999-2014 or Honda pilot or many other options
Ah okay I see. You can't much go wrong with the Sequoia, they are built to last.
