I looked at a used car today, and I noticed this noise coming out the exhaust:
I can't tell what it is, is it be engine knock? You can only hear it out the exhaust, I couldn't hear it when I was by the engine.
This is on a 2005 chevy avalanche 5.3

Engine knocking is what it sounds like, your engine's piston knocking on parts of the engine. That sound you filmed is normal sounds for an older big engine. Sounds good nothing to drive any worries at least from that sound.
